ENJOYING THE JOURNEY

One of our favorite parts of Banff was just getting there. We took the Icefields Parkway from Jasper and headed south, which is only a ~3 hour drive (weather permitting), but took us much longer. We exercised the freedom that being jobless and homeless grants us, by taking our time and stopping to appreciate the views along the parkway.

WOODS IN THE WOODS

After a night camping in the park, we were lucky to have family come visit us on the road. While we were looking forward to endless showers and laundry, our family was looking forward to getting outside!

We stayed in Canmore and took day trips into the park, including some “must-sees” like Lake Louise, but also some less famous, but equally breathtaking spots.

HADING SOUTH

After our family headed back to Texas, we returned to our dirty, showerless lifestyle. We spent a couple more days lounging around before hitting the road and heading south towards the US border.
